Development for Peace Education launched its two quarterly publications; Ka Paramenteng and Dialogue/Puisano on the 14th of June 2024 at Lekokoaneng Community library while the other 7 Community libraries; koebunyane, Polihali, Khoelenya, Seforong, Lebakeng, Hloahloeng and ‘Mamaebana together with Members of the Parliament of this areas joined through zoom.
At this event, communities at this areas had a chance to see the perfomance of their leaders on Ka Paramenteng and to also see the response of the government on the questions they wrote in Dialoge/Puisano. Some areas got a privilege to engage with their MPs through the launch while others unfortunately did not get such opportunity as their MPs absent due to other vital assignments.
Speaking at this event, Hon. Lehlohonolo Hlapisi indicated that they are really working hard to see to it that the communities get the services they are seeking for, also thanking DPE for organizing such events as they assist by giving them new perspective on how to handle things way forward. It is at this occasion that MP for Thuathe Voeswa Tsheka donated books and a shelve to Lekokoaneng Community library.
The community libraries are aimed at linking the hard to reach communities with the policy makers. People should use the libraries to engage with their leaders and hold them accountable.
