The two youth organizations under the Youth Power Hub initiative participated in
the CSOs Cascade Trainings that are being carried out in the ten districts of the
country. However, not only the CSOs in the incubation were to participate also the
organizations that applied to be part of the incubation hub. The training workshop
organized and facilitated by Development for Peace Education (DPE) in
Mohale’s hoek District Football Association (DFA) on the 25th to 28th September
2025. Participated CSOs were Rutanang Community Foundation – RCF and
Partners in Community Development – PICD. These CSOs were capacitated on six
modules focused on (i) corporate governance, (ii) financial management, (iii)
Advocacy for change, (iv) Diversity, Inclusion and equity, (v) Communication and
visibility, (vi) Project management, M&E.

Each organization was expected to be represented by at least 5 members. The
workshops involved some group dynamics and leadership skills, including critical
thinking skills. At the end of the training, the participants demonstrated growth,
confidence in speaking, and improved level of awareness. They were critical about
the missing policies in their organization.

The office of the District Administrator (DA) played a fundamental role in ensuring
that the youth in this district are not without a parent. Furthermore, ‘M’e Mabaruti
Motsamai at UNICEF Lesotho also contributed in delivering her intensive content
on the Project Management and M&E module and as well as members of the two
CSOs who were also co-facilitators were able to deliver their presentations on the
other modules very well. While on the other hand DPE facilitators Ntate Ts’epo
Mosoeu – Coordinator and Melida Bohloko Peace Education Researcher – PER
also facilitated other modules.
