Development for Peace Education-DPE in collaboration with Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light-HWPL facilitated a 1 day activity of certificate award celebration on 13th March 2026 at Lesotho Durham Link Hall, Maseru. The 106 teachers from 28 schools where awarded certificates on Peace Education Online Program that took a duration of 1 year and 4 months, certificates were given to teachers by HWPL, DPE and Minister of Education.
The ceremony commenced by a powerful prayer by Rev. Dr. Joseph Morenammele. The purpose of the activity was delivered by DPE Coordinator, where he highlighted the importance of Public Participation and Dialogue in regard to Peace Education. This simply means that people should be given platform on matters affecting them in their lives and in communities so as to have peace in this country and the world at large.
Furthermore, Ministry of Education and Training was represented by Chief Executive Officer responsible in Curriculum Assessment Mr. Ralenkoane, he promised that what is tabled before his desk about the curriculum concerning Peace Education Program, he is ready to work on and assist in which ever ways. Professor Mots’oeneng from Moshoeshoe 1 Institute of Peace and the National University of Lesotho indicated that Peace is at the heart of Basotho and in the higher learning institutes, as Moshoeshoe 1 Institute of Peace worked together with DPE in different programs, she also felt the gratitude of teachers receiving certificates as they are from NUL, this means they multiplied their impact on teachers.
Mr Mbulelo Mdiniso from HWPL further explained the Peace Education Program has also power to influence changed behaviors in classrooms, families and in communities, and he mentioned that earlier this Mrs. Debesh participated in the International Conference on Peace in Switzerland with other officials from Lesotho.

Consideration for the Benefit of Others, 7. Sacrifice without Expectation of Reward, 8. Tolerance and Forgiveness toward others, 9. Respect and Courtesy toward Elders, 10. Efforts to Preserve the Heritage of Our Ancestors, 11. Law-Abiding Spirit and the Law of Peace , 12. The Fulfillment of Peace Long Awaited by Humanity.
